Public Observers

The Public Observers category includes stakeholders who are not eligible for government membership, such as civil society-based thought leaders, environmental NGOs, academic institutions, community organisations, multilateral organisations, and governmental stakeholders from outside the Wider Caribbean region, who wish to remain informed and engaged with CAR-WEN Working Group activities.

Currently, Public Observers can:

  • Join our Public Observers Google Group - Subscribe to a dedicated email list specifically for Public Observers, where you will receive quarterly updates, event notices, and occasional news relevant to the CAR-WEN’s activities.

  • Participate in Public Events - Attend periodic public events hosted by CAR-WEN, including webinars, workshops, and briefings focused on wildlife crime and enforcement.

On a case-by-case basis, Public Observers may be invited to become Special Observers, allowing them to participate in and meaningfully contribute to selected network-only events and activities.

As the CAR-WEN continues to grow, we look forward to identifying additional opportunities to support Public Observers and their active roles as guardians of wildlife in the Wider Caribbean and beyond.
