Expert Advisers

Expert Advisers includes those experts invited to support the CAR-WEN with specialised knowledge and guidance. Advisors may come from intergovernmental organisations, academic institutions, civil society organisations, and other relevant entities with demonstrated expertise.

Currently, Expert Advisors can:

• Attend selected meetings – Participate in CAR-WEN meetings and briefings, when invited, to share technical perspectives.

• Provide technical guidance – Offer recommendations on policies, operations, and projects, including reviewing draft documents, tools, and plans.

• Contribute to technical work – Join working groups, committees, task forces, and project teams to help advance priority activities and capacity building.

Advisers are nominated on a case-by-case basis and confirmed by decision of the Working Group Co-Chairs.

As the CAR-WEN continues to grow, we look forward to working with additional experts whose insights strengthen wildlife enforcement and biodiversity protection across the Wider Caribbean and beyond.
