Government Agencies
Government agencies from countries and territories within the Wider Caribbean are eligible to become CAR-WEN Government Members. We define the Wider Caribbean as all countries and territories bordering the Caribbean Sea and adjacent Atlantic waters, extending from Florida (USA) and Bermuda in the north, through Central America and the insular Caribbean, to the northern coast of South America, and we also welcome governments beyond the Wider Caribbean with territories in the region.
As a Government Member, you'll have the opportunity to:
Join the members-only email listserv – Facilitate communication, information sharing, and collaboration with other government members.
Attend network meetings – Help shape CAR-WEN priorities and strategies, and contribute to ongoing dialogue on how to address Caribbean wildlife crimes.
Contribute to planning and technical materials – Support the development of guidelines, tools, and resources to strengthen wildlife enforcement.
Exchange information and expertise – Share insights and collaborate with regional peers working on enforcement and conservation.
The extent of involvement is entirely up to each member agency, ensuring that participation remains manageable, relevant, and meaningful.
