The Caribbean Wildlife Enforcement Network (CAR-WEN) Working Group undertakes targeted activities aligned with our core mission to establish a formal and effective regional wildlife enforcement network across the Wider Caribbean. Our current efforts focus specifically on establishment strategies identified in our strategic plan:
Network Facilitation - Explore how we connect government agencies and enforcement authorities across the region, building the partnerships and communication systems needed for effective, coordinated wildlife crime response.
Social Marketing - Learn how we raise awareness and drive regional action through targeted outreach, unified branding, and impactful communication strategies that support wildlife enforcement.
Network Formalisation - Learn how we establish the legal, governance, and operational foundations for the CAR-WEN, laying the groundwork for a credible and sustainable enforcement network.
Planning and Fundraising - Discover how we secure essential resources and strategic support by developing detailed operational plans, building donor partnerships, and managing funding for the CAR-WEN’s mission.
Catalysing Pilot Projects - Find out how we launch targeted pilot initiatives to test and showcase innovative wildlife enforcement solutions that can be scaled up across the region.
Stakeholder Engagement - Learn how we build broad alliances with donors, international agencies, and civil society partners to expand support for wildlife enforcement in the Wider Caribbean and beyond.

They are detailed extensively in the CAR-WEN Strategic Plan, which also provides details of future stages of action, ensuring a seamless transition from a Working Group into a fully operational WEN (Wildlife Enforcement Network).
